Transcendental Meditation Course

Transcendental Meditation is learned over four consecutive days, for about an hour and a half each day.

Day 1:

On the first day – usually a Saturday – you learn the technique, one-to-one and in person at Charles and Janice’s home near the Twickenham rugby stadium (postcode TW7 7LX). You then commence your daily practice at home, which is easy right from the start.

Days 2 to 4:

On the next three days you attend group meetings, outside normal working hours, with others who also learned on the Saturday. You find out what defines correct and successful TM practice, and how to do your TM optimally under all circumstances. You learn what actually goes on in mind and body during TM that accounts for different experiences that you might have, and which makes sense of the practical points you have learned so far. You also hear about how your perspective on life will change as you practice long-term, how increased consciousness and physiological freshness will lead to increasing fulfilment, appreciation of everything, and a feeling of oneness with others – the real meaning of ‘enlightenment’!

In case timing or travel are an issue for you, on any of the three follow-up days, there is now an alternative. You can do these three follow-up sessions in your own time and place using a highly regarded, video-based digital course, on your mobile phone or tablet. If necessary this can spread over a week or so. You also check in briefly with the Teacher on Zoom to go through your practice together and ensure it is good.

The next 6 months:

Ongoing meetings are optional but recommended for at least six months. These are all included in the course fee. In addition to keeping your TM practice fresh and answering all your questions, you meet other meditators, and discuss selected knowledge and practical wisdom including beautiful videos of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Dr Tony Nader and others.

The beginning of a journey:

If you wish to keep your life on an ever-upward trajectory, you can also participate in day retreats and weekend retreats locally. You could even enjoy taking Advanced Techniques of TM that speed your journey to full development.
